Man shot on the Central Coast

A 29-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in an incident at Killarney Vale on the Central Coast.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.

The incident happened at a house in Main Street around 4.15am on Saturday.

Police said the man was found "with a gunshot wound to his abdomen".

Tuggerah Lakes Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and seeking to establish "where the man was injured".

Crime scenes have been established at the Main Street house, a second home on Chapel Street, in Hamilton Street and outside a supermarket on Wyong Road - all in Killarney Vale.

Police appealed for anyone in the vicinity of these locations who saw suspicious activity - or who may have dashcam footage of the incident - to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au.
