Man shot on Bishop Ford Expressway near Dolton

A Chicago man was shot Tuesday on the Bishop Ford Expressway near south suburban Dolton.

The 34-year-old was traveling about 1 p.m. on the northbound lanes of I-94 near 147th Street when someone in another vehicle opened fire, Illinois State Police said.

He was struck by a bullet and self-transported to a nearby hopital with non-life threatening injuries, state police said.
