
A man was killed in a shooting last week in northwest Indiana.
Wanya Burnside, 21, was shot in the head around midnight Nov. 11 in the 3500 block of West 47th Avenue in Gary, Indiana, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m. Nov. 3 at the University of Chicago Medical Center, the medical examiner’s office said.
An autopsy released Tuesday ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Gary.
Gary police did not immediately provide additional information on the shooting.
