Man shot, killed in Gary

A 35-year-old man was killed in a shooting Sunday in northwest Indiana.

Authorities responded about 11:36 p.m. to the 5100 block of East 13th Place in Gary and found Reginald Hamilton with a gunshot wound, according to the Lake County coroner’s office.

He was pronounced dead about 12:40 a.m. Monday, the coroner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

Gary police did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
