A man was killed in a shooting Thursday in Chatham on the South Side, police said.
The 18-year-old was struck by gunfire in the leg, wrist and neck about 6:15 p.m. in the first block of East 83rd Street, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the fatality.
