Man shot in the face in suburban Adelaide

A man is fighting for life after being shot in the face in Adelaide's northern suburbs.

Police say the 27-year-old presented at the Lyell McEwin Hospital just before 7pm on Saturday with a gunshot wound to the face.

He was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition.

"His injuries are believed to be life-threatening," SA Police said in a statement.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred at Munno Para West just before 7pm and want to speak to any witnesses.
