A 32-year-old man died nearly a year after he was shot in Longwood Manor on the South Side.

Laramie Parker was found by officers about 7:47 p.m. June 23, 2019, in the 9600 block of South Carpenter Street with a gunshot wound to his head, officials said. A man who saw the shooting said Parker was shot by someone in a light-colored vehicle.

Parker was taken to Christ Medical Center in critical condition, authorities said. He died from complications of his gunshot wound Monday.

An autopsy ruled his death a homicide, authorities said.
