A man was fatally shot Thursday inside Garfield Park on the West Side, according to police.
The man was outside in the 3600 block of West Schrader Drive when a black vehicle drove up to him and someone inside fired shots, Chicago police said.
The 42-year-old was struck in the neck and chest about 6:15 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the death.
Area North detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. No arrests have been reported.
