He was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center June 9, 2019, police said.

A man was fatally wounded by gunfire Sunday in Woodlawn, police said.

The 30-year-old was walking about 2:56 a.m. in the 6600 block of South Evans Avenue when he started arguing with people in a blue Impala, Chicago police said. One of them pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The man was shot in the head and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on his death.

No arrests have been made as Area Central detectives investigate.
