A man was fatally shot Wednesday in South Shore on the South Side, according to police.
The 28-year-old was shot in the torso at 2:11 p.m. in the 2400 block of East 74th Street, according to Chicago police.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately release details about the death.
No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate, according to police.
