Man shot dead in Little Village: police

A 32-year-old man shot and killed Thursday on a sidewalk in Little Village on the Southwest Side, police said.

He was walking about 8 a.m. in the 2300 block of South St. Louis Avenue when someone shot him three times, according to Chicago police.

Paramedics took him to Mt. Sinai Hospital with gunshots to his face, abdomen and chest, police said. He was pronounced dead at 8:29 a.m.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released his name.

Police said they are conducting a homicide investigation. No one is in custody.
