Sun-Times file photo

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed while seated in a vehicle Sunday morning in Chatham on the South Side, police said.

Someone walked up to him and fired gunshots about 11:20 a.m. in the 8000 block of South Ellis Avenue, according to Chicago police.

The man was driven by someone else to Jackson Park Hospital, where he died of multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details about the death.

No arrest was made, police said.
