Man shot dead in Bridgeview

A man was killed in a shooting Wednesday in southwest suburban Bridgeview.

Davion Butler, 20, was shot in the thigh about 11:30 p.m. in the 7300 block of West 85th Place, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead about an hour later.

Autopsy results released Thursday ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

A Bridgeview spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for details.
