A 28-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday in Bellwood in the west suburbs.
Christopher Weatherspoon was found by officers with multiple gunshot wounds about 11:45 p.m. in the 400 block of 24th Avenue, according to a statement from Bellwood police.
He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and pronounced dead, police said. Weatherspoon lived in Bellwood.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details on the death.
Police said they are conducting a homicide investigation.
