A 27-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday afternoon at a gas station in south suburban Blue Island.
Matthew Jones was shot about 3:20 p.m. at a Shell Gas station at 11901 S. Western Ave., according to Blue Island police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and pronounced dead, authorities said. Jones lived in Blue Island.
Police did not provide additional details about the shooting.
