Man shot after two men allegedly attempted to enter residence

A man has been shot in the leg during an alleged struggle with two people believed to be attempting to gain entry to a Bonner residence.

The man suffered a minor wound and was transported to the Canberra hospital, following an incident on Roy Marika Street on Sunday.

Police attended the property about 5.45pm on Sunday following reports of a man suffering a gunshot wound.

Witnesses are being sought as police believe nearby residents and people walking in the street around that time may have information that can assist the investigation.
