Man shot after argument in Humboldt Park: police

Police tape off the scene of a shooting July 7, 2019 in the 800 block of North Harding Avenue.

A 25-year-old man was shot multiple times Sunday after getting into an argument in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

About 11:50 a.m., the 25-year-old met with a 32-year-old man that he knew at his home in the 800 block of North Harding Avenue, Chicago police said. The two began to argue and eventually the 32-year-old pulled out a gun and shot the 25-year-old in the chin, neck and thigh.

The 25-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. Officers arrived to the residence, recovered weapons and took the shooter into custody.

Charges are pending as Area North detectives investigate.
