A woman has been shot in the arm during an argument with a man she knew before he drove her to hospital, South Australian police said.
Police said the shooting happened late Thursday afternoon, at Ridgehaven in Adelaide's north-east.
A 37-year-old woman from Vista sought treatment at the Modbury Hospital for a gunshot wound to her arm.
Police said her injuries were not considered life threatening.
Detectives attended the hospital and said inquiries revealed the woman had been shot by a man during an altercation in her car, which has been seized for forensic testing.
Police said the man returned to the hospital a short time later and was arrested.
A 40-year-old man from Vista has been charged with acts to endanger life and firearms offences.
He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
Man's jaw broken during road rage incident
In a separate incident, a man has been arrested during a road rage incident in which a woman's jaw was allegedly broken.
Emergency services were called to Grand Junction Road at Gepps Cross on Thursday night after reports of a crash between a Toyota Corolla and a Nissan SUV.
Police said immediately following the crash, a man and a woman from the Nissan got out and approached the driver of the Toyota.
The man then allegedly assaulted the driver of the Toyota and drove off.
She suffered a suspected broken jaw and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.
Police found the damaged Nissan nearby and arrested a 21-year-old Brahma Lodge man.
He was charged with aggravated assault causing harm and property damage.
He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court in March.
