Man shares unconventional parking hack that could 'save hassle' between drivers

Parking next to vehicles leaning out of their bay is an everyday annoyance most drivers would be happy to banish forever.

Whether they're inexperienced, in a rush, or simply just don't care, some motorists are guilty of not parking inside the bay. In a bid to end unsafe parking for good, one man has shared another technique that could work - if everyone started doing it.

Upending the usual logic to park inside the lines, one man has suggested people park on them directly.

As reported by the Mirror, TikTok user bigbruva_77 shared a video of the technique with his followers, and soon it gathered thousands of views and comments from his fans.

In the video, the man explains that he had gone to pick up a vehicle from a General Motors lot in America, and was amazed by the way the cars were stored.

Each one was parked on the left-hand line of the parking space, leaving enough space on either side for the doors to open - preventing dings and parking hassle - and it looks like it would work a charm.

In the video, the man said: "What if I told y'all we've been parking in parking spots wrong the whole time.

"This is where we pick up GM trucks, look how they're parked - they're parked on the line. You see how evenly spaced they are?

"Imagine if everyone at Walmart parked on the line, it would lessen the amount of dings and give you space to get in and out of your car.

"We've been doing it wrong the whole time y'all."

Since the video was shared, hundreds of users flocked to TikTok to comment their opinion - with one user saying the technique made the spaces appear twice as big.

But others saw a flaw in the plan, as one added: "Yo people can't even park inside the lines, you expect them to park on it?"

And another wrote: "I mean that's the same as if everyone parked in the middle, the general public is just bad at parking no matter what the standard is."
