Man shares poached egg hack that will help you get breakfast perfect every time

Everyone can boil them and they're easy to fry, but poaching eggs can leave most amateur chefs stumped - but now a TikTok star has shared his secret for getting them just right every time.

A viral video uploaded to @caughtsnackin has taken social media by storm as it simplifies the poaching technique to such a degree that you'll be able to get it right every time.

Some swear by adding vinegar to the water and others insist it must be swirling, but the TikTok cooking guru said all you need to do is crack the egg into a spoon.

Then, will the raw egg sitting in the spoon, slowly lower it into the boiling water so the outside cooks in the spoon - then transfer it to the water to poach the rest.

What do you think about the technique? Let us know in the comments...

In the video, captioned 'this poached egg hack will change your brunch game', the man said: "So I was feeling kinda boujee still so we did not just do an egg and avo we went further and went poached egg and to be honest with you, it was quite delicious."

The video, uploaded on Friday, November 19, has already had over two million views and nearly 60,000 likes, alongside hundreds of comments.

One user said: "Ohhh good wee tip."

And another wrote: "That is the best hack I have ever seen in my entire life."

"Why have I never thought to poach an egg like that?" Asked a third. "That is genius."

While a second added: "A steamed egg. Yikes, I prefer good old poachies with malt vinegar in the water."
