Man shares 'magic' cleaning hack to leave stained chopping board looking new

White chopping boards can quickly become discoloured through food stains after just a few uses.

No amount of scrubbing ever seems to remove the colourful marks left behind, but if your old chopping board looks like it's seen better days then you'll be glad to know there may be a solution to save them.

TikTok user @Creative_explained has racked up millions of views on the social media platform by sharing tips, tricks and hacks to make life a little easier.

A video titled 'Chopping board cleaning hack' has been watched more than one million times as he shared a solution to restore your old board - and the final result speaks for itself.

How the chopping board looked before (@creative_explained/TikTok)
And how it looked after (@creative_explained/TikTok)

Showing a white chopping board with an orange-coloured stain in the middle, he says: "Have you got a stained cutting board? Don't throw it out.

"Just sprinkle some baking soda on it, a little bit of salt, and some fresh lime juice. Then use the lime to scrub it, check this out."

Using the flat side of half a lime, he works the solution into the stain before rinsing it off to show no sign of the stain that was there previously.

He adds: "Boom! Brand new. Works like magic."

After some people accused him of using a new chopping board or simply showing the reverse side, he posted a second video showing 'behind the scenes' every step of the way, and wrote: "My page is about helping people, not lying to them."

And plenty of viewers backed him up after trying the cleaning tip for themselves, as one commented on the video to say: "This hack 100% works. Just did it."

A second wrote: "You are a magician."

And a third added: "I really needed this! Thanks bro."
