Keeping white trainers can feel like an impossible task if, you know, you actually want to take them out the box and wear them out of the house.
Sure, you can wipe them down every evening when you get home, or you can fork out for a professional clean every now and then, but it's time consuming, and very rarely do they ever retain that brand new look.
However, one bloke has shared his own hack for keeping his white trainers looking brand spanking new, but it's fair to say people have been left divided over his rather unusual tekkers.
The TikTok user, who goes by the name How Plugged Are You, showed off the so-called hack, which left his Nike Air Force 1s looking shiny white in a matter of literal seconds.
"When you need new Nike Air Force 1s but you're on a budget," he wrote, alongside a clip of his trainers being literally spray painted white.
Sure, it's not exactly *cleaning* the trainers in the technical sense of the word, but it certainly does hide all the stubborn marks and leave them looking shiny and new.

Unsurprisingly, people on TikTok were left divided - but several did comment to say just how impressed they were with the 'genius' hack.
"That, sir, is damn genius - you just saved yourself 150 bucks," one user commented, while another added: "The best DIY I've ever seen."
Meanwhile, others pointed out that by spray painting the shoes you get to retain the comfort of the used pair, without having to wear in a new set.
However, not everyone was as impressed, with one TikToker commenting: "Or you could just use a washing machine?"
True, but that's a LOT less fun.
