Man shares hilarious list of 'rules' family must follow if he is ever in a coma

It's no secret that some people always like to look their best - no matter what situation they find themselves in.

And one man has amused people with his claim that he wants to continue looking his best - even if he were in a coma.

Actor and writer Paul Black has gone viral on social media after sharing a list of 'rules' he'd like his nearest and dearest to follow if he were ever to find himself in this situation.

The amusing list features specific instructions on grooming as well as food and pop culture news.

His first rule is all about hair maintenance, as he explains: "Ok here are some rules to follow if I'm ever in a coma.

"First of all I need a skin fade once a week, I don't want anything that closely resembles sideburns or any unsightly growth - I've not got the facial structure for it."

Next up he asks for bi-weekly pop culture updates from a "trusted source, preferably a gay man".

"If Rihanna drops an album or Meghan Markle gets assassinated, I need to know. Even if I can't hear you, my body will know, it will sense it."

The third demand is for apologies from anyone who's ever wronged him and he clearly states that these must be in person.

Meanwhile, the fourth item on the list is a "social media campaign" so that people don't forget about him and he asks for no expense to be spared, requesting a dedicated social media manager be hired and paid £25k a year to "keep [his] spirit alive".

Paul continues to share the rest of the list, saying: "Make A Wish Foundation, personalised messages from pop stars. Real pop stars, not local ones.

"Do NOT feed me under any circumstances, ok? This is my one shot at weight loss.

"Include my comatose body in TikTok trends so I stay relevant.

"Put a cigarette to my lips, I know I won't be able to inhale it, but I want to know it's there.

"A GoFundMe must be set up immediately to make sure I've got money to buy new clothes for my skinny body and my various media interviews when I'm out of the coma."

His final demand is that Lady Gaga's latest album, Chromatica, is played to him through his Airpods every day so he doesn't forget about it. Because, obviously.

The video has since been viewed more than 411,000 times and garnered over 70,000 likes.

Hundreds of people also took the time to comment, sharing their thoughts, with many finding the whole thing hilarious.

One person wrote: "I am creased. Outstanding content."

Another said: "I'm a COVIDICU nurse and I am DYING over the 'pop culture update' OMG."

A third replied: "This list is EVERYTHING and extremely valid."

"Writing this down to tell my friends and family what must be done," added someone else.

"This is so good," proclaimed a different user.
