Man shares amusing diet warning after he injured himself eating a rice cake

Diets are supposed to be good for you, right? If you are looking to shed a couple of pounds and need motivation to pick carrot sticks over carrot cake, it is a mantra you have probably repeatedly told yourself.

After all, while it can be healthy to follow a diet, it is not always easy to pick healthier food choices. But dieters should save themselves the hassle and avoid putting themselves in danger, according to one Reddit user. Posting to the website, a man shared a hilarious warning for anyone hoping to try out a diet, after he injured himself while eating a healthy snack.

And it is very tempting to accept his reasoning, even if it not the most logical.

Sharing his safety message to CasualUK, Reddit user ChipRockets wrote: "If dieting is so good for you then how come I’ve just sliced my finger on a rice cake? I’ve never been done in by a Hobnob like this."

His warning was accompanied by a photo of a bleeding cut on his finger, presumably sliced by the rice cake in his hand.

And the post delighted fellow Reddit users, who did not need to be told twice.

One person wrote: "Nor will you ever be done by a Hobnob like this. You know who you can trust."

And the biscuit lover replied: "Too right. Lesson learned here. I know who my friends in the biscuit world are."

Another commenter advised: "Chuck it away. Get a digestive, they got your back."

Thankfully, the man took the advice on board, keen to save himself from any further dangers.

"Already cracked open some chocolate Hobnobs," he replied. "No point having a beach body if all the diet food is gonna result in me being all sliced to pieces. Which is exactly how I’m gonna explain it to the wife."
