A man allegedly sexually assaulted a woman while she was sleeping on a London Underground train between Park Royal and Sudbury Hill.

British Transport Police said the victim awoke at roughly 6pm on September 6 on the northbound Piccadilly line train to the man assaulting her.

She challenged him and he got off at Sudbury Hill. On Monday, the force released an image of a man they would like to identify in connection.

The man pictured is black and of medium height and build. He is shown wearing a black baseball cap, a red rucksack and a dark floral shirt with a tablet sticking out of his shirt pocket.

Officers are hoping to trace this man who may have more information (British Transport Police)

“Officers believe the man in the images may have information which could help their investigation,” the police statement read.

If you recognise him, or have any information, contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 501 of 06/09/22.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
