A man reportedly put a bag containing a bottle of liquid on the door mat of a shop and set it alight.
On Tuesday, September 28, emergency services were called to Lambuan nail shop, on County Road as a fire broke out with two people inside.
It is believed that, at around 8.20pm, a man had put a bag with liquid on the door mat of the Walton business and started a fire.

The fire caused damage to the door of the property but the two people inside were able to escape unharmed.
The man is described as being of stocky build and wearing a grey coat, navy blue trousers and black shoes.
He was carrying a large umbrella and a Sainsbury’s carrier bag.
Merseyside police has now launched an investigation and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the local area. The incident is being treated as malicious ignition.
Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the area of County Road at around 8.15pm last night who saw anything suspicious or recognises the description of the man to contact us.
"Similarly I would ask anyone who was driving past who thinks they may have captured the incident on dash cam or mobile phone to contact us.
"Thankfully nobody was injured but this incident could have had very serious consequences and it is vital that we find the person responsible."
