A 47-year-old man was seriously wounded in a drive-by attack Monday morning in Logan Square on the Northwest Side.

He was walking to his car about 6:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of North Spaulding Avenue when an SUV passed by and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago police.

The man was shot in his wrist and torso, and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

Police initially said the shooting happened in the 2800 block of South Spaulding Avenue, in Little Village, but later corrected the address to North Spaulding.
