Man seriously injured in horror accident amid building work at Scots business

A man was seriously injured after a horror accident at a Scots business where building work is taking place.

Emergency services raced to Inverness Maltings on Longman Road in the city yesterday morning.

It has been reported that the man was injured during ongoing works to build an extension to the Maltings.

He was rushed by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, where his condition is unknown at this time.

Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene shortly after 9am on Thursday morning.

A police spokesperson said: "Around 9.10am on Thursday August 12, officers were called to assist following a report of man injured at a business on Longman Road, Inverness.

"Officers attended and he was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 09:25 on 13 August 2021 to attend an incident at Longman Road.

"One ambulance and a Pre-Hospital Immediate Care & Trauma (PICT) team were dispatched to the scene.

"One patient was transported to hospital.”

The fire service were called to assist with the incident.
