A man was taken to hospital after being attacked in Blackley.
Police were called to reports of a 'disturbance' on Cooper Lane just after 6.10pm last night (Tuesday). Officers cordoned off a stetch of the small residential street following the incident.
The man - aged in his 20s - was taken to hospital from the scene with a serious head injury. Police said they understand he was attacked.

No arrests have been made. An investigation is ongoing.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "We were called shortly after 6.10pm on Tuesday (8 November) to a report of a disturbance on Cooper Lane, Manchester. A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with a serious head injury after it’s understood he was assaulted.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing. Any information should be passed to us via LiveChat or by calling 101 quoting incident 2671 of 08/11/2022.
"Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
