A TRIKE rider has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash near Loch Ness.
Emergency services were called to the B851 south of Loch Ness at around 3pm on Saturday following a report of a crash involving a Rewaco trike.
The 74-year-old male rider of the trike was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering serious injuries.
Police said his passenger was uninjured.
Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward and are especially keen to trace the driver of a white Volkswagen Golf or Polo that was seen on the road around the time of the incident.
Constable Andrew Mackenzie said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this crash.
“We are appealing to anyone who was driving in the area who may have seen the crash or has information or dash-cam footage which may assist. We are keen to trace the driver of a white Volkswagen Golf or Polo that was seen on the road around the time of the crash.”
