Man seriously injured after road crash in south side of Glasgow

A pedestrian was left seriously injured after he was struck by a car in the south side of Glasgow.

The 58-year-old male was struck when a grey Audi knocked onto the pavement after colliding with a black Lexus at around 5.05pm on Holmhead Crescent yesterday (January 23).

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The 64-year-old driver of the Audi also suffered minor injuries.

Police in Glasgow are appealing for information.

A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: Please get in touch if you witnessed the crash or have dashcam footage that you think could help enquiries.

"Contact us on 101, quoting incident 2461 of Wednesday, 22 January, 2020 or get in touch anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
