Man seriously injured after 'disturbance' in Edinburgh as cops arrest three people

A man has been taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries following a disturbance in Edinburgh.

Officers from Police Scotland were called to Hawkhill Avenue in the Restalrig area of the city at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, May 13.

A 27-year-old male was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to be treated for his injuries.

He remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

As a result of the incident, two men, aged 48 and 41, and a 34-year-old woman were arrested in connection.

Cops are hunting for another individual believed to be involved in the late-night disturbance.

Detective Inspector Clark Martin, of Gayfield CID, said: “Our enquiries continue to trace a further individual believed to be involved in the incident and we'd urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or has any information that could assist our investigation to come forward.”
