Man seriously injured after car flips in Falkirk horror crash

A man is in hospital after his car overturned in a horror crash in Falkirk.

Officers from Police Scotland raced to Vellore Road, near to Almond Road in Maddiston at around 10.20pm on Friday, August 21, after reports of single car crash.

A purple Mini Cooper flipped while travelling east.

The driver was raced to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Medics describe his condition as serious but stable.

He was the only person in the car.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick, Edinburgh Road Policing Unit, said: “We are looking to speak to anyone who may have any information relating to this crash.

"The 44-year-old man has suffered serious injuries are we are asking for assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"If anyone has any information or possible dashcam footage that could help, please get in contact with officers.

"Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 4393 of Friday, August 22."
