Man seriously injured after being hit by car in Leeds

A man has been seriously injured after he was hit by a car in Kirkstall.

The pedestrian, who is in his 20s, was involved in a collision with a black VW Golf at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, November 26.

The collision happened at the junction of Evanston Avenue and Kirkstall Road and the driver stopped at the scene.

West Yorkshire Police has launched an investigation and they are appealing for witnesses and information about the collision.

A police spokesman said: "Officers in the Roads Policing Unit would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw the vehicle driving in the area prior to the collision.

"Officers would also like to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage of the vehicle driving prior to the collision.

"Anyone with information should contact PC Varley on 101, quoting reference 13190607951."
