A man has been arrested and another rushed to hospital after being hit by a car during an alleged ‘disturbance’ at a car wash in Clydebank.
Police were called to the scene of the incident around 12.45pm this afternoon at the car wash on Dumbarton Road in Dalmuir area of Clydebank.
A 36-year-old man was left seriously injured after being hit by a car and was rushed to hospital.
Police also confirmed that a 50-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.45pm on Thursday, 22 July, police were called to a report of a disturbance at a car wash premises on Dumbarton Road, Clydebank.
“Emergency services attended and found a 36-year-old man seriously injured, after being struck by a car. He has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“The car collided with the car wash, as a result the building is currently unsafe, and has been evacuated.
“A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.”
