Man seriously injured after alleged street brawl in Glasgow

A man has been hospitalised with serious injuries after a street brawl in Glasgow.

The 30-year-old was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the city by paramedics at around 10.10pm on Monday, June 1.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.

It comes after police received reports of a disturbance on Tulloch Street in the Cathcart area of the city.

Now officers from Police Scotland have launched an investigation and enquires are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.10pm on Monday, 1 June we were called to reports of a disturbance within a common close on Tulloch Street.

“Officers attended and a 30-year-old man was found to have been seriously assaulted.

"He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment where he remained overnight for observation.

“A 47-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

"Enquiries are ongoing.”
