Several officers can be seen stood behind the panels. The tape appears to stretch from the Central Station side of the shop, right around the front, along to the newsagents next door.

It comes as tens of thousands of revellers will be leaving Glasgow Green to head home after the final day of TRNSMT 2022. Despite a wave of ScotRail service cancellations set for Sunday evening, droves of gig-goers desperate to make last trains will be making their way along Gordon Street, past the Blue Lagoon to get into the station via the main entrance.

A Police Scotland spokesman told Glasgow Live: "We were called to Gordon Street in Glasgow at 5.30pm on Saturday. There was a disturbance involving two or three males but two males were heavily involved.

"We are treating this as a potential serious assault. One man was taken to hospital.

"His injuries are at this stage believed to be non-life threatening."
