Man seriously assaulted in Carluke property in targeted attack

Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Carluke.

The 26-year-old was attacked at a property in the Greenbank Terrace area of the village.

The incident happened around 6.30pm on Sunday, 10 November.

The 26-year-old man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries during the incident. He was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Lindsey McIntyre of Lanarkshire CID said: "We are carrying out inquiries to establish the full circumstances of this assault which we believe to have been targeted.

"We are interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area around 6.30pm on Sunday, particularly if they saw any suspicious individuals or vehicles.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact 101, quoting incident number 3236 of 10 November, or call Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111."
