Police are investigating a serious assault in Belfast city centre late on Thursday night.
One man was injured at the incident in the Donegall Quay area of Belfast.
Police say the isolated incident was attended by a PSNI crew near the Lagan Lookout.
One source said: "The situation appeared to have been a stabbing. PSNI forensics were at the scene and there was blood and some items of clothing in the area."
The adult male has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
