A man has been seriously assaulted at Bristol’s Harbourside tonight (Saturday, April 24).
He was assaulted at around 8.30pm at the Explore Lane area of the Harbourside.
The police and emergency services were in attendance as crowds gathered at the scene.
Witnesses described “blood on the floor” and that the victim had his “head down screaming”.
Avon and Somerset police confirmed the victim has been taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury.
A police cordon is now in place around the area of the Harbourside where the incident took place.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We were called to attend the Explore Lane area of Bristol Harbourside at just after 8.30pm today (Saturday) after a male was seriously assaulted.
“He’s been taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury.
“Officers are at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate the offender.
