Listening to a dog bark for hours on end is annoying, especially when the owner doesn't do anything to stop it.
But while most people simply go inside, watch their favourite show on television and forget about their neighbour's dog for a short while, others take matters into their own hands.
One annoyed man sent his neighbour a comic strip-style letter to complain about them allowing their dog to bark at all hours of the day and night.
It warns he will call the police next time they leave their dog to bark and includes an extract from a dog-related law, which states owners can be fined for such behaviour.
The drawing, which has been shared on Reddit, shows a dog peeing, pooing and playing outside as well as being let back into the house by their owner.

All these pictures have been given a green tick of approval. However, one image, which shows a dog barking outside, has been marked with a red cross.
The post reads: "A letter my neighbour left in his other neighbour's mailbox due to his barking dog problems."
While some users slammed the man for his "passive-aggressive letter", others praised his creativity and complimented his "great" drawings.
One user said: "I would accept complaints in the form of a mature level-headed adult conversation or a high-quality childish passive-aggressive crayon cartoon. No middle ground."
Another user added: "That’s pretty high production value for a neighbourhood letter - not going to lie"
A third user said: "I love how he's portrayed himself as a yelling lunatic on the phone while the offending dog owner is a slight well-dressed, well-coiffed, calm and modest young man who seems melancholy about the monetary cost, as if he is of modest means."
One user said: "I really love everything about his drawings. They are so dang cute! I'm not sure about his message. It took a lot of work and talent to get this passive aggressive."
It comes after a woman got 'petty' revenge on her neighbours by playing 'Who Let the Dogs Out' for six hours while they tried to sleep for their night shift.
Sharing a video on TikTok, user Saphire Jess wrote: "Petty level: When your neighbour's dog barks from 5pm until 3am every damn day.
"Keeping yours and your neighbour's babies and kids away ALL NIGHT and it starts to affect your son's schooling.
"Talking to them and they said it's old so they won't try stop it... called the ranger and nothing was done for six months.
"So you take things into your own hands, sitting a speaker on the fence while house sitting for the four houses surrounding, playing this for six hours straight as they sleep for their night shift."
