The arrest came a day after a separate investigation led to police finding a network of cannabis farms on the same estate.

Merseyside Police was called to Copplehouse Lane just after midday on Tuesday due to concerns about a row on the road.

One man was said to have been holding a knife while arguing with a second male near to the junction with Edna Avenue.

The officers who responded became involved in a chase across the estate that led to them arresting a 20-year-old man on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

Police had been on the same estate a day earlier after community officers uncovered a system of drugs farms.

Four separate properties were raided on Sheila Walk , leading to the discovery of several cannabis farms.

A 19-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested at one property as officers seized cash along with the drugs.
