Man seen lurking in area at night sparks police warning to homeowners

Officers in Knowsley have warned people to carry out "double checks" before they go to bed after a man was seen lurking in the area at night.

The force received reports of suspicious behaviour on Halebank Avenue, in Roby, in the early hours of this morning - February 24.

It has since issued a warning to people living locally in the area to be careful.

Calls were made to police to report a man trying to open car doors.

Police said: "Male trying car doors overnight In the early hours of this morning. We received several calls in relation to a male trying car doors in the Halebank Avenue area of Roby.

"Please ensure you double check you have locked your car when you go to bed."
