A violent Moodiesburn man permanently disfigured another male during a vicious attack at a pub in his home town.
Brian Stewart hit his stunned victim with a glass at the Silver Larch, on Larchfield Road, on April 29 last year.
The assault resulted in the man’s “permanent disfigurement” and Stewart admitted his guilt at Airdrie Sheriff Court.

Arran Lane resident Stewart, 41, was due to be sentenced last week following a deferral for social work reports.
However, defence solicitor Nicky Matteo appealed for further time as the reports on his client were “unavailable”.
Sheriff Derek O’Carroll agreed to a further deferral until August 28 for the reports and a restriction of liberty assessment.
