Man's Tesco Christmas delivery fail leaves shoppers in stitches

A Tesco shopper’s delivery mishap has left others laughing today after he shared it online.

Twitter user @jamesmurden took to his social media feed to share his hilarious mistake when ordering from Tesco online.

James, it turned out, thought he’d ordered one bag of Brussels sprouts - but upon arrival he was given one single sprout.

His post read: “Please note: when ordering sprouts from @Tesco online, quantity 1 does not mean 1 bag of sprouts. It means 1 sprout. Thank you and good night”.

James’ post quickly went viral, receiving thousands of likes, retweets and comments from other shoppers who found the incident hilarious.

Twitter users were quick to comment beneath James’ post, many with laughing emojis and funny GIFs.

One user wrote: “OMG”, while a second added: “This is excellent, happy Christmas James, that’s pure 2020”.

A third said: “Just when you thought 2020 couldn’t get any worse....”

Others decided to share stories of when similar things happened them, with some brilliant responses.

One person wrote: “Earlier this year the 6 bananas I *thought* I ordered turned out to be 6 bunches of bananas.

“Full credit to the @Tesco delivery driver who kept a straight face when asking whether I meant to order that many as I unpacked all 43 of them “.

Another said: “For me... 3 quantity of single carrots meant 3 bags. Plenty for Rudolph & co haha”.

One user had made the exact same mistake as James, sharing a photo of her singular sprout delivery, alongside the caption: “You are not alone.”
