Man's spaghetti hack leaves people unsure whether to be 'impressed or terrified'

How do you eat spaghetti?

Now, you might think that a bit of an odd question, as most people would assume there was one right answer - you twirl the pasta around a fork, until the whole thing is neat enough to eat.

Right?! Well, apparently not everyone does this.

One man has a very different way of eating noodles and he's gone viral on social media as a result of sharing it.

The unusual method, sees the man using a fork and a pair of scissors to scoff spaghetti, lifting the pasta up with the fork and chopping the overhang off, before putting what's left in his mouth.

A video clip of the unknown man in action was shared on the Twitter account @cucumbertonic and has since garnered over seven million views.

The footage has completely divided people on the social network, with some hailing the man a "genius" and others proclaiming that chopping up spaghetti like that "should be illegal".

One user commented:  "Not sure if this impressed me or terrified me."

Someone else wrote: "What in God’s name is going on here???? That is so wrong, he should never be allowed to eat spaghetti again."

A third said: "The odds of that guy being an axe murderer must be near 100 percent."

"Ridiculous," stated a different person.

However not everyone was completely against his ways.

Another tweeted: "Is this man from the future?"

"He’s living in 2090 we’re all beneath this guy," replied a second.

Others were inspired to give it a go for themselves, saying: "OMG! Next time I eat spaghetti it is going to be with a fork and a pair of scissors instead of a spoon!"

However it's worth noting that one person did point out that while the man's eating habit is unusual, he's certainly not the first person to try doing this.

The same user shared a gif of actor Buster Keaton from the 1918 black and white short film The Cook, in which Keaton's character is seen cutting his spaghetti with scissors before eating it.

So not a new hack then - but clearly it still hasn't caught on yet.
