A man has suffered several broken ribs after having his own moped ridden over his chest.
Police are asking for information about a reported robbery in New Ferry on February 11 which has left a man with significant injuries.
At around 5.20pm on the Friday, Merseyside Police received reports that a red, black and white Lexmoto moped was stolen from outside St John’s Church on Bebington Road.

It was reported the owner went out to look for his missing moped when he claimed to have spotted an unknown man sitting on it in the church car park.
When the owner attempted to retrieve the moped, police said the suspect threatened him, ‘deliberately’ drove at him on the moped and then drove over his chest and groin before making off on the vehicle onto Bebington Road.
Three men ran to help the victim following the incident and police are now keen to speak to them.
The man later attended hospital and discovered he had suffered several broken ribs.
The suspect police are searching for is described as a white male in his early 20s, around 5ft 10in tall of large build, clean-shaven and with cropped brown hair.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey long-sleeved t-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms. He was carrying a dark rucksack and spoke with a Wirral accent.
CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Merseyside police.
Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan said: “This was a terrible incident, which left a man injured and extremely shaken. We are working hard to find the person responsible and bring them to justice.
“We are keen to speak to anyone in the area of St John’s Church who witnessed the robbery who may have information to assist our enquiries. We are particularly keen to speak to three males who helped the victim immediately after the incident who may have seen what happened.
“Similarly, if you were driving in the Bebington Road area on Friday evening and have dashcam footage, please review it and let us know if you see a bike like described or anything suspicious. Any information you hold could be vital to our enquiries.
“Whether you let us know directly or anonymously, through Crimestoppers, let us know so that we can take action.”
