Man's NOSE bitten off by neighbours' friendly pitbulls that suddenly snapped

A man was severely injured with his nose completely bitten off his face when two pitbulls attacked him outside his house.

The dogs were at the front door of Marcus Kizaza's home in North Fort, Texas, where his two children and wife were inside.

Mr Kizaza walked toward the screen door, and the pitbulls were friendly, jumping on him.

Eventually, Mr Kizaza made his way inside the home and shut both doors in order for the dogs to leave.

However, the pair of pitbulls were still in the neighbourhood, and they suddenly snapped, attacking Mr Kizaza.

He called his wife, Leslie, saying the dogs were attacking him. Mr Kizaza ran down the street to get away from the pitbulls, who bit his legs and hand.

He eventually jumped on top of a neighbour’s white truck, but not before the dogs bit his face.

A witness called 911 and recorded the aftermath of the attack, where first responders tended to Mr Kizaza and fought off the dogs.

One of the pit bulls without a collar lunged at a firefighter. A police officer struck the aggressive dog with his patrol car, and it was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Fort Worth Animal Control Services captured the second dog on the scene.

Neighbours found Mr Kizaza's detached piece of flesh under the white truck and returned it to him.

Mr Kizaza was taken to the hospital, where his nose was successfully reattached, but he remained in the hospital since the attack and will undergo another surgery.

Speaking to NBC5 a few days after the incident, Mr Kizaza said: “I'm feeling better now, but I'm having a pain on my knee and my finger too. I can't speak a lot. I don't just want people to just see this, you know?”

His pain has begun to subside however, he has a long road to recovery, as a third surgery is scheduled for him this week.

“Marcus and his family have set up a GoFundMe, and we're working on trying to spread that just to assist the family with medical bills, expenses,” Cole McNeal, Mr Kizaza’s attorney said.

“The family's not working. They've incurred a lot of medical bills. They have incurring expenses.”

McNeal said the next step is to press charges and file a civil lawsuit against those responsible.

“We want to gather all the information and make sure that the proper individuals are included,” McNeal said.

“The person that owns the house, the person that leases the house, individuals that live there, the dog owners.”
