A man's jaw was broken in three places following an unprovoked attack outside a city centre restaurant.

Police want to trace this man (Avon and Somerset Police)

A 21-year-old victim was left with a broken jaw and police have said the attack was "apparently unprovoked".

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "We are appealing for help to trace this man in connection with an assault in Bristol which left another man with a broken jaw.

"Anyone who can help officers trace the man in this image is asked to get in touch through www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact , or by calling 101, quoting reference 5219051697.

"Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name or trace your call."
