Man's jaw broken in bar fight as police issue CCTV appeal

A man was assaulted following a "disturbance" at a bar and suffered a broken jaw.

At around 1.10am on Sunday, November 20, a disturbance took place at a bar on Common Lane, Culcheth in Warrington. A 39-year-old man was assaulted and sustained serious facial injuries.

The offender is believed to have left the venue with a group of men. Police have now issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Detective Constable Faye Nowell said: “This attack left the victim with a fractured jaw and other facial injuries. He will now have to live with the consequences of the suspect’s actions for a long time. Since the incident occurred, we have been conducting several enquiries and as part of these, we are issuing a CCTV image of a man that they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

“I want to also appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have any information to assist with our investigation. If anyone recognises the man, or the man himself, please get in touch with us and we’ll do the rest.”
